Project Description:

Located at 131-01 39th ave was Assi Plaza, a former grocery store that served the Flushing community from 1994 – 2004. The 100,000 square foot property was purchased, and there are plans to build a 632,000-square-foot mixed-use development.

Based on preliminary information by an architect firm CBA is working with, this mixed-use development has an “East” and “West” side. On the 1st floor in the East site is retail space. The second floor plans to be a large banquet hall, with a roof terrace on the third floor. This is all underneath an 18-story luxury hotel.

The West site will have two residential towers and a large retail podium. A skywalk will connect the hotel to the 18-story north residential tower via the 2nd floor, and the south residential tower will stand 16-stories high.

The Hotel will require 3 triplex passenger elevators, 2 service elevators and 2 escalators. The North Residential Tower requires 2 duplex passenger elevators, 2 triplex passenger elevator, and 2 service elevators which must serve different stops. The South Residential Tower requires 2 passenger elevators and 1 service elevator. The Retail Corridor requires 4 escalators.

CBA Elevator Consultants, LLC, anticipates their scope of work for Young Nian Group will last between January 2019 through September 2019. Services include: specifications for new installation, full elevator service maintenance contract, shop drawings review, construction administration services, and project close-out.
