Originally called South Branch, Sunset Public Library has been available to the public since 1905, and was rebuilt in 1972. Sunset Park is one of the highest points in Brooklyn, which provides a view of the Manhattan skyline and Statue of Liberty. The library committee, paired with the Fifth Avenue Committee, are increasing the current 12,000 sq. feet space to a 21,000 sq. foot branch, introducing 49 units of affordable housing, with a brand new HVAC system. Altogether, SPL requires more than $6 million in repairs.
CBA Elevator Consultants, LLC, is providing consulting services for SPL and Mitchell Giurgiola Architects. Services include: specifications for modernization, full elevator service maintenance contract, shop drawings review, construction administration services, and project close-out.
