Brooklyn Army Terminal
Formerly known as the “US Army Military Ocean Terminal” the Brooklyn Army Terminal was the largest military supply base within the US through WWII. Built in 1919, the 4-million sq. foot complex deployed millions of troops and tons of supplies around the world to help soldiers.
In July of 1981, New York City purchased and took over the terminal. Today, there are over 100 businesses and thousands of manufacturing jobs within this commercial / industrial complex. Fashion, film, food, TV / Media production and more industries are now present in an area that was once used as a port of arrival or departure for over 200,000 soldiers per year.
CBA Consultants is working in tandem with Mancini Duffy Architects for the new installation of 1 passenger and 2 freight elevators within Brooklyn Army Terminal. Services include: specifications for new installation, full elevator service maintenance contract, shop drawings review, construction administration services, and project close-out.
