New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) was the first agency in the United States to provide housing for low and moderate income residents throughout the five boroughs of NYC. Often referred as “projects” or “developments”, more than 400,000 residents live within NYCHA’s 325 public housing developments across the five boroughs.
